If that bill DID pass the way it was written and the way it would have been interpretated, every member of congress that DID vote for it should be eliminated in ANY way possible....*whistles*

ALL those taxes would just be passed on right to ALL of us........

we do NOT need anymore BS taxation.....

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH............

They want to get re-elected in November and higer utility rates would be the death nail in their coffin.... And people, even with their short memories, will be reminded monthly when their utility bills arrive......

Don't you understand..?His excelency does not need congress. Wait until august during the break. He will use executive authority to MANDATE carbon taxes through the EPA.Congress has already given him the authority. This way no DEMS will have to say they voted for it.Concentrating on creating jobs like a laser. He will be investigating hiring on Martha's Vineyard for the month of august. It's a day trip everyone. Why don't ALL THE UNEMPLOYED JOIN HIM ON THE ISLAND? Just an idea.

Blame, blame, blame. The usual Democrat whining when they can't pass more taxes onto the public. I thought they had the majority?

"His excelency does not need congress. "

That's correct, Bush didn't need congress as he attached signing statements to every bill that passed his desk. (http://www.coherentbabble.com/listGWBall.htm)

In July 2006, an ABA “Blue Ribbon Task Force”—not “The ABA”—found that these presidential assertions of constitutional authority “undermine the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers.”

Undermine the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers?

Really? Who was the true Regent who didn't need congress?

Sherri, I'm sorry, but your post makes no sense in this situation. They have every right to BLAME republicans for refusing to work with them.

Most logical people don't want to breath in excessive Pollutants. Have you looked outside over the past few days? The air has been SO polluted that you can hardly see a distance of 2 miles.

Maybe you want to breathe in excessive carbon, etc, in order to prevent businesses from being "taxed" but, just for once, why not worry about the health of your fellow citizens?

"kill themselves is they believe that carbon dioxide is a pollutant."

Let's tie you down, and place a mask over your face, and force you to breathe carbon dioxide for a few hours. I'm sure it would be the ULTIMATE improvement for you.....

'Anyone who would support this bill should immediateley kill themselves is they believe that carbon dioxide is a pollutant.'

The same goes for anyone who doesn't understand science on the most basic of levels.

This bill was a sham, not because it would raise taxes on citizens, but because it would engorge the pockets of utility companies and CEO's. This is not a valid option when it comes to combating any environmental damage, climate change, global warming, et. al.

"I'm surprised he even posts now. Right todd?"

Unlike you and Dad, I'm not a wimp.

".Racists,Racists,Racists,Racists,.Thats Todd. "

That's also Dad, except he calls Obama a racist. And Dad is a bigot and racist. He/She demonstrated this on a daily basis.

Carbon dioxide is NOT a pollutant. If you think it is, you are stupid. It is no more of a pollutant than oxygen. Or nitrogen.

You leftist scum don't know squat about science, and i doubt you even care, you just want government control because you are all greedy parasitic scum and want to steal from producers (conservatives).

If it occurs in greater quantities than it does naturally - thus upsetting the natural chemical balance within the atmosphere - it is indeed a "pollutant". You are insufferably hilarious.....

Actually, most leftists want limited government, or no government such as myself. You simply disagree with 'large' government when it comes to social programs, not throwing troops down on the border. Perhaps you should research your opponents, understand them and attempt to rationalize their thoughts before you make veiled attempts at sounding anything other than infantile.
