yes Billy boy we WILL remember and we will be sending all those that voted for the healthcare bill back. Once again the republicans are on the wrong side of history just like they were on slavery and civil rights. Some day the rich boys and girls will wake up and learn some respect for the common person. Till then we will just have to give them a little help.

Will "proud liberal" be so proud when his spendable income gets cut drastically with new taxes because working slobs have to pay for this massive growth in government entitlements? Will "proud liberal" be so proud when his kid is denied an expensive test or treatment that has the potential to save the kid's life when a government medical bureaucrat says its not in the plan? Will "proud liberal" be so proud when he can't afford to pay his mortgage and put food on the table because the government decided he had to pay for the uncounted millions of illegal aliens to get health care?

Our CT representatives are selling us out. If this plan for the rest of Americans is so great, they should scrap their own Congressional health care plan and join the rest of us poor working slobs in the real world. No they prefer to vote themselves raises so they can live high on the hog while middle America struggles to put food on the table and keep a roof over our heads.

Is health care fixes needed? Yes. Is this bill the answer? NO. This bill is not going to solve the problems and will only end up costing more $$ and will negatively impact jobs. This bill needs to die and new bills need to be passed one by one to address the problems. This bill is going to hurt the nation and especially CT
03/19/10 @ 15:57
Comment from: JFR [Visitor]
There are assumptions made in the bill about taxes and $$$ that are not sound. There are too many "deals" and college funding should not be combined with this bill. It is quite clear that the folks who hold office in Connecticut have not read the bill or they do not understand math.
03/19/10 @ 16:00
Comment from: JFR [Visitor]
There are 6 years of benefits and 10 years of taxes. Right there is a problem. It takes 10 years of taxes to fund 6 years of benefits? Not a good thing. Medicare funding is being used to fund under 65 health care. Not a good thing. Taxing investments not a good thing. This will hurt 401ks and pensions. We are ALL dependent upon Wall St whether in a 401k or pension plan. This bill will negatively impact Wall St.
03/19/10 @ 16:03
Comment from: JFR [Visitor]
We all want folks to get the care they need here in the USA. That can be accomplished. This bill will not address health care delivery, access etc. This is nothing more than a TAX AND CONTROL bill disgused as health care reform.

The bill will put the screws to the health insurance industry. So yes it is bad for wall street. No one is telling us how bad baby bush was for Main Street and how good he was to Wall Street for 8 years in a row. So I do not feel bad if we are looking out for Main Street instead of Wall Street for the first time in ten years. Wall street people will be just fine. Sadly, the GOP is no longer the party of Lincoln. There is not one Republican leader today who has spoken out against this bill who has demonstrated the courage and understanding of what a social compact must do when it has a moral obligation to act. That was Lincoln's legacy to the Republic.

The GOP today is an embarassment by doing all that it can to see that President Obama is unsuccessful. Unfortunately,it has spawned a new era of racism and discrimination in the U.S.

Obama repeatedly claims that his healthcare proposal will save money and “bend the cost curve” of rising healthcare premiums. He is right — in the opposite direction. The Democrats’ plan would not only raise premiums, it would raise taxes while reducing the quality and availability of healthcare.

Obama expresses regret for not making Washington more bipartisan, yet he laces his speeches with gratuitous swipes at Republicans and excludes them from healthcare planning sessions.

Proud Liberal... My answer to your last question is...

GO F**K YOUR SELF

Just like you and your leftist agenda are now going to do to this Country.

You schmucks know damn well that your boy in the White House hoodwinked 53% of those who voted into thinking he was something other than what he truly is. Smoke and mirrors at it's finest. I'm sure he's got the 'audacity' to have Bill Ayer's write ANOTHER book for him on that subject too...

But he's in there now and we're stuck with him 'til January 20, 2013. His only claim to fame is the fact that he is the Anti-Bush and he rode the wave of hatred into office.

This is what happens when an election turns away from qualifications for office and becomes more akin to a high school popularity contest.

Am I bitter that a Democrat is in the office, not especially.

I'm more enraged at the fact that THIS unqualified arrogant islamic schooled anti-american scammed his way into the office and dolts like yourself are zealously overjoyed about it...

Obama is not my President I didn't vote for the guy who can't even produce a birth certificate Because he is a horse's a** just like all the liberal f-faces who post here on a daily basis who are arrogant s-bags.

Well you idiots will be in the same boat as the rest of us and i am sure you will be crying the loudest when you are paying higher taxes, higher insurance premiums, higher food prices and higher gas prices.

Go ahead and gloat now morons but you will be the whiners when all this happens!!

Thanks to you aZZ clowns I will never vote for a Democrat or Liberal again.

I can't wait for our New Republican Governor, New Republican Senator and 5 New Republican Congressmen. You idiots can keep SOTS, Treasurer and Comptroller. Also we will have a GOP Attorney General.

I can't wait until 5 or 10 years from now when this all kicks in and hear you sorry a** liberals crying like a bunch of babys.

It will go to the courts for a while so go ahead and laugh it up and call people names like the usual suspects on here do every day. Have your fun because it will come back and bite you on the a**.

"I will be voting NO for the Carpetbagging Liberal Congressman from the 5th CD Chris Murphy."

You don't vote for Democrats anyway, so what is the point of this statement. Over the past few years you have been a champion of the Republican party... so... you wont vote Democrat... big deal.

"Murphy can go back to practicing law for a living. He is such a liar like all who serve under that witch Pelosi and that other loser Reid."

"America does not torture!" "Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq!"
Bush lied, people died. But, when facts and history prove him wrong, you just say "he made a mistake."

"Obama is not my President I didn't vote for the guy who can't even produce a birth certificate"

Again, you ignore the facts.

"Because he is a horse's a** just like all the liberal f-faces who post here on a daily basis who are arrogant s-bags."

And your comment, quoted above, prove that you are an arrogant conservative s-bag.

"Well you idiots will be in the same boat as the rest of us and i am sure you will be crying the loudest when you are paying higher taxes, higher insurance premiums, higher food prices and higher gas prices."

Actually, I have been in the same boat as you right along.

Um, if you have not noticed, gas prices are way down since Bushie-poo left office, and food prices are down as well.

What do oil and food prices have to do with health care? Nothing. Draw logical conclusions please.

"Thanks to you aZZ clowns I will never vote for a Democrat or Liberal again."

I don't care who you vote for, just so long as you are not voting for the people I support.

"I can't wait for our New Republican Governor, New Republican Senator and 5 New Republican Congressmen. You idiots can keep SOTS, Treasurer and Comptroller. Also we will have a GOP Attorney General."

So, let me get this straight...
1. It is ok for Republicans to have complete control of every branch of the government, but not Democrats.

how is this not a double standard?

"Have your fun because it will come back and bite you on the a**."

Like torture, illegal wiretapping, attorney general scandals, outing a spy, etc. havent come back to bite you in the "a**."
