Will "proud liberal" be so proud when he can't afford to pay his mortgage and put food on the table because the government decided he had to pay for the uncounted millions of illegal aliens to get health care?

Our CT representatives are selling us out. If this plan for the rest of Americans is so great, they should scrap their own Congressional health care plan and join the rest of us poor working slobs in the real world. No they prefer to vote themselves raises so they can live high on the hog while middle America struggles to put food on the table and keep a roof over our heads.

Is health care fixes needed? Yes. Is this bill the answer? NO. This bill is not going to solve the problems and will only end up costing more $$ and will negatively impact jobs. There are assumptions made in the bill about taxes and $$$ that are not sound. There are too many "deals" and college funding should not be combined with this bill. It is quite clear that the folks who hold office in Connecticut have not read the bill or they do not understand math.

There are 6 years of benefits and 10 years of taxes. Right there is a problem. It takes 10 years of taxes to fund 6 years of benefits? Not a good thing. Medicare funding is being used to fund under 65 health care. Not a good thing. Taxing investments not a good thing. This will hurt 401ks and pensions. We are ALL dependent upon Wall St whether in a 401k or pension plan. This bill will negatively impact Wall St.

We all want folks to get the care they need here in the USA. That can be accomplished. This bill will not address health care delivery, access etc. This is nothing more than a TAX AND CONTROL bill disgused as health care reform.

AGAIN............the will of the majority in this state WASNT voted on by or dysfunctional "representatives".............

The bill will put the screws to the health insurance industry. So yes it is bad for wall street. No one is telling us how bad baby bush was for Main Street and how good he was to Wall Street for 8 years in a row. So I do not feel bad if we are looking out for Main Street instead of Wall Street for the first time in ten years. Wall street people will be just fine. Obama expresses regret for not making Washington more bipartisan, yet he laces his speeches with gratuitous swipes at Republicans and excludes them from healthcare planning sessions.

What if the doctors just refuse to accept government health insurance and only accept pay as you go? That way, people with money will get proper care. On the same note, why is perfectly ok for someone to take a loan for $50,000 car or a big screen tv but I'm supposed to help pay for their medical.
