WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) – A West Haven town official who is a top contender to lead the local Democratic party has been charged with buying stolen jewelry and tampering with evidence.
Gene Sullivan, 56, a Board of Finance member who owns Leslie Jewelers, was arrested Monday and released on a promise to appear in Superior Court.
Police say Sullivan told investigators he received some jewelry that apparently belonged to police Commissioner Thomas Gallagher. Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with stealing jewelry from Gallagher’s home on March 2.
Mayor John Picard had said he planned to nominate Sullivan for chairman of the Democratic Town Committee. Picard says he still supports Sullivan.
Sullivan didn’t immediately return a phone message Tuesday.

All the stories are told.
Then form a possy.~Peace Glenna~
It's also funny how you dismiss the past because you either:
1. cannot justify what happened.
2. are blind to the facts.
3. unable to comprehend how the past effects the present.
