WASHINGTON (AP) – The government ran up the largest monthly deficit in history in February, keeping the flood of red ink on track to top last year’s record for the full year.
The Treasury Department said Wednesday that the February deficit totaled $220.9 billion, 14 percent higher than the previous record set in February of last year.
The deficit through the first five months of this budget year totals $651.6 billion, 10.5 percent higher than a year ago.

And we thought wall street was crazy.
~Peace Glenna~
in 2 more years he will do what no other country could do - destroy us!
Just like Republicans...
"Our Country will soon suffer from the Democrats push to transform our way of life. "
We're already suffering from the "bush push."
"I don't think Democrats understand what makes us a great county."
Wars, fear-mongering, financial ruin to pay for wars, racial profiling, and sweeping legislation such as the Patriot Act which takes away our rights to "protect" us.
"Walls street is not the enemy-- big government is "
After the events of the past few years, and the decisions the bankers on Wall St. have made, I beg to differ.
ONE of many.............
