BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) – A retired probation officer has been charged with breach of peace after allegedly shouting obscenities at Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele and disrupting a meeting at a Bridgeport club.
Authorities say Anthony Millo of Naugatuck called Fedele a liar and shouting obscenities at the Circolo Sportivo Italo Americano club.
The 60-year-old Millo also was charged with interfering with police and was released after posting $2,500 bond.
Fedele was seated at a table with others when Millo allegedly approached and asked if he would rehire Lisa Moody, Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s chief of staff, if he is elected governor.
Millo denies the incident took place the way police claim. He says he likes Fedele, who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor, and did not threaten him or interfere.
