Murphy & Obama arent getting it. The Brown message was clear but they arent hearing it. The Nov elections will show just how deaf they are.

Our representatives in Washington are STILL not getting it. Here's the truth of what CT voters are saying - STOP IT. Stop spending money, stop pontificating, stop shoving massive unread 'laws' down our throats, stop the bribery, the back-room crap - ALL OF IT!!!! We are fed up with ALL of you - you are living arguments for Constitutionally based TERM LIMITS! You have NO CLUE how angry and disgusted the voters are with you - there isn't ONE program you've ever created that functions efficiently from either a labor or a dollar use standpoint.

I believe that the biggest problems in this country are the result of government. It doesn't matter what the level of government you look at, city, state or federal. Our tax dollars go to support corruption and fraud. I do not have enough time or energy to iterate the problems and corruption in this country. I do know that many people have finally decided that they have had enough. Unfortunately too many other people have an agenda that is tailored around their own wants and they continue to elect those political personalities that come closest to filling their wants and not what is best for the country, state or city.

Regarding the comment that government should stay out of Business and let the companies run their own business and let them create jobs and put people back to work....who the heck does he think got us in this position in the first place. They sent all our manufacturing off shore so they could have slave labor while their pockets got stuffed with cash. They ran the thousands of businesses down the drain and into bankruptcy. Maybe if there were MORE "Government Controls", these greedy CEOs, etc. wouldn't be allowed to destroy companies and go on to bigger and better things at some other unsuspecting company.

Obama is getting the message that people want jobs and to know thier retirement money is safe. I think they way he is going about it is wrong. He keeps saying we need to create job by pumping gov money into the economy while there are so many job that are being out source. Companies are laying people off and giving our jobs to people in other countries. Obama should look at how many jobs are being outsourced!

I wish that both parties would stop the party line bickering and start working for the good of the people. They are not doing the people or the country any good with the way that they are carrying on at the present time.

The people are fed up with the way the political process works...that's why Obama was elected in the first place. The current populist anger is not against the administration (for causing the problem) but for the sluggish and bipartisan way of dealing with issues critical to the lives of Americans. We can't afford to let the congress stall to protect their political lives...they must have courage to stand up and do what is right for our future not just theirs.

from the article, a quote by U.S. Congressman Chris Murphy (D-5th District) :

“I think everybody needed a kick start last night, Democrats, Republicans and the country. I think he recognized that he had an angry audience both in that chamber and out in the public,” Murphy said.

Funny how far out of touch with reality he has become in his short tenure as one of CT's representatives.

I assume this is what happens when you buy into the Obama Administration's "do-nothing yet proclaim doing everything" policy.

I am not much of a psychic nor am I a seer, yet I do believe Mr. Murphy is going to be another recipient of 'change' that we really DO believe in...

Pat, above, is DEAD WRONG on where to place the blame. Companies send manufacturing offshore because of all the added burden place on employers by the government. Minimum wages, crippling confiscatory taxes, madatory time off, mandatory this and that, obscene regulation and environmental restrictions and the like which stifle business.

The latest financial crisis was NOT created by "greedy business" but by the government, including and especially Barack Obama, who made laws on lending institutions to make loans to people they knew never had the resources to buy a house int he first place.

Pat, it's time to turn off the frothing at the mouth morons on TV and go get some real facts for yourself so you don't put up something as incorrect, poorly written and frankly, just plain stupid as you did here.

Dad -

How did Obama create a financial crisis that began during the last administration?

The ideologies of people like you are what got us here in the first place. Rather than working together you dream up absurd statements like the one you made in your post, and then go on the partisan attack when people call it out for what it is - insane Glenn Beck propaganda!

What you see right now is an atmosphere that will create the rise of a third party, either extreme right or extreme left. Unfortunately, the party that was created wast he Tea Party Coalition, which is made up of an insane, extremely partisan group of people. Many of the people who call themselves conservatives and post on this blog are actually hard line angry individuals who identify with this organization.

If these people represent those who will foster change in Washington, WATCH OUT! People think the Terrorists was bad,

President Obama and the Democrats are not listening. They continue to shove their ideas down the throats of America while not bothering to explain what the ideas contain. What are you truely talking about when it comes to health care reform? Back room deals with individual states? As a citizen I have absolutely no idea what the specifics are on health care reform - and I have tried to find out what it means. I think Sen. Dodd is an example of what is going to happen to Democrats if they don't start listening. Stop the Health Care Reform nonsense and start explaining what it is and what it is going to cost.

Now we're blaming the tea party. Is there no end? I guess some will go as far as they can to get their point across. And as far as Glen Beck - how can you criticize someone you claim you don't listen to? Glenn makes a lot of sense and maybe you would too if you would just listen once in a while!

The Liberals are desperate ever since Martha Choakley lost the election to Scott Brown. They are going to be even more nasty and intimidating now because their a-clown President got played and in three years is going to get a one way ticket back to Chicago. They know Obama has about six months to fix things or else the Democrats will be in trouble heading into the 2010 election. Maybe Reid and Pelosi will both lose and The Democrats will lose enough seats so the Republicans take over. I bet before November The economy, gas prices and other things will become affordable mysteriously so the Dems will get back in. I just have this gut feeling they will pull it out of their butt. Don't be fooled .....Don't fall for the liberal BS ...Vote any way but DEMOCRAT.
