How about we now pick a true independent who is smart and cares about the corruption problem in washington. get the dems and the repb out of congress. all of them. vote for the guy with the least amount of money in his campaign. that means he is not bought out.

Blumenthal just said on the 11:00 news he dosn`t take anyone or anything for granted...He was a major player in the overturn of the Schagticoke Tribal Nations Federal Recognition.
A part of the Schagticoke Indian Nation.
Two related American Indian Tribes of Connecticut.
It was the first time in American history that Federal recognition of an American Indian Tribe was overturned.
I wonder if that will be chissiled on his tombstone when all is said an done.
If he did it to us without mercy and fairness to unite the two tribes.
What is he going to do for the rest of Connecticut.
Let them rot and try to forget them too and as long as he says he dosn`t take anyone for granted you will belive him.
Mabe he will make way for more illegals to come into Connecticut and call the Natives names,(I have been called them).and drain the funds to teach them English and find them jobs and if they can`t ,just pay their way for everything they need that their motherlands wont give them.
We are not on our feet to stand strong to be able to help.
Dodd has us so far in the red we may never recover.
I am not voteing for Blumenthal.
Democrats are full of false promises and pacifyers up their sleeves to stick in your mouth when you complain.
The folk that vote are full of hope that all the promises will be fullfilled, nothing ever changes, same ol`e same ole.
It`s not like Blumenthal had an epifiany and has to rush off to washington,Dodd is a quitter, he quit everything by going from one lie to another and has run out of lies.so he runs now and that is the only reason Blumenthal is running.Nothing new.Like musical chairs, political chairs.

I have had the pleasure of meeting the Atty General on several occasions. I must say that I found him to be a smart and easy to talk to man. He was very willing to hear what everyone had to say, including those with different points of view. I'm sure you can tell he made a very good impression on me. He will get my vote. The only sad part is that CT will lose a great Atty General.

I am suspect because Obama has too much interest in CT all of a sudden. We don't need one of his "pets" taking Dodd's seat. Haven't we had enough of this little click that doesn't pay attention to voters? We already have an upcoming in place trying to cement his place in the click. Joe Courtney is giving Obama advice on the health care of all things. I will make sure anyone who is on the side of this health care plan does not get my vote and I hope CT voters have had enough closed door politics. They are not listening to us!!!

Hmm... this will make the coming election far more interesting. Blumenthal certainly has far more ethics than Dodd so he would be an improvement but I'd rather see a balance in the senate.

I think Blumethal is an honest guy but he doesn't have the guts to stand up to his own party. Remember he went after AIG (which I applaud him for) but he refused to condemn Dodd for putting the provision in the TARP agreement for AIG executives to receive bonuses. He was upset about the bonuses happening but didn't call out the person who was responsible??? I would love it if a candidate was really for the people. Anyway, he is a BIG improvement over Dodd even if he did cost CT alot of jobs with his work as Attorney General. For the past 20 years CT has been increasingly looked at as extremely antibusiness. This has a lot to do with our Attorney general suing businesses all of the time. Our legislatures always forget to look at the big picture.

I'm voting for Linda. She needs nor wants any favors. Now she is truly for the people. A business woman who knows how to run a business. That what we need in the senate no play alongs to stay along.

Great, just what we need... Lord Obama has crowned the AG as the heir apparent.

As much as I like the guy and his record as AG, he's shown in the past that he is a Democratic Party "Yes-man". Obama wants him to win so he'll have another mindless rubber-stamp Senator in his pocket like he had with Dodd.

That alone is reason enough to vote for ANY one else running against him.

"Oh boy! If Obama likes him, I'm NOT voting for him! "

You wouldn't vote for him anyway, so...

"I am suspect because Obama has too much interest in CT all of a sudden."

Just as I was suspect every time Bush visited the state...

"Haven't we had enough of this little click that doesn't pay attention to voters?"

Let me refresh your memory. When asked a few months ago whether or not he cared about public opinion of the war in Iraq Dick Cheney said "No". And you voted for him and bush twice. So, when you say that that you have had enough of Obama not caring about the voters, you re showing that you possess a double standard.

"I'd much rather someone who actually understood American law for the position, Blumenthal is a disciple of Karl Marx."

Do you have a J.D.? And do you actually know what Marxism is? Its not socialism or communism as we know it.

"Now she is truly for the people"

Yes, a multimillionaire who truly understands how the little people like you live? Just like Bush, right?

"Great, just what we need... Lord Obama has crowned the AG as the heir apparent."

I don't know, GWB and Lieberman were up each oters A$$es... even so far as kissing on the floor of the senate. OMG! they might be gay!!!

Last election I voted for Dickie because he was NOT in the same party as Rell, who I also voted for. I figured Dickie would keep Rell and her friends on a short leash. Dickie does not seem to go after members of his own party, so I do wonder if having 2 atty generals, 1 from each party would improve life here in CT.

I am going to vote for Linda - Rob Simmons is to me an inscumbent - he's looking to go back to Washington and it's time to clean the state and federal government.
I do like my mayor - that is the only incumbant I will vote for! (I am a Derbyite, so don't think that I like you DeStupido)

The media is claiming Blumenthal is the most popular. If he is so popular why are they going out of their way to prop him up?? Also, if he so honest and non-partisan, why did he not join other AG's efforts to consider a lawsuit of the United States Congress of the shady deals going on in Congress over health care legislation.
I don't think any Democrat should be elected to anything until they can show they can put our national interests ahead of party loyalty. Blumenthal has not done that.

Blumenthal is just a MEDIA whore. ANY chance he gets to appear on TV, he's there! This is why he appears to be in the "lead" so far. I think that will change over time. I think he has been a STRONG consumer protection advocate here in CT. I think he needs to stay in his current position.

Linda has my vote!

This is clearly all part of a strategic plan. Get Dodd out early so that people will forget about the incompetent liberal democratic machine by election time. Obama and the liberal democratic machine think we are stupid. A 70% unfavorable rating for Dodd indicates we are not going to take it any more.
