Obama statement on plane attack

HONOLULU (AP) – President Barack Obama says he has ordered a review of the nation’s watchlist system and of its air safety regulations, and has asked his national security team to keep up the pressure on terrorists aiming to attack the U.S.
Obama says U.S. officials are doing everything in their power to ensure Americans are safe in the wake of the Christmas Day attack on a Northwest Airlines flight bound for Detroit.
The president, issuing a statement Monday during his holiday vacation in Honolulu, says U.S. authorities will not rest until they find everyone involved in the attack in Detroit and hold them accountable.
Obama’s remarks were his first in public about a Nigerian man’s alleged attempt to bring down the airliner.

Obama might be taken more seriously if he had come out sooner to address the event. Now it just looks like he's been waiting for instructions as to what to say. Sorry - this is just how he appears. His vacation is more important and he's going to show us that.

There is only one reason that these events (Fort Hood Shooting, Atempted bombing of airplane) and that is that the Homeland Security, FBI etc. will not share information about terrorists or possible threats with each other!!!

We can't profile because the ACLU will throw a fit. My mother-in-law who is wheel chair bound had to walk through the security machine!! Unbelievable. Obama and Napolitano can't bring themselves to admit their are Islamic terrorists who want to harm us. He gives a speech three days late, and reads it with no passion or anger. Of course the majority of Muslims in this country are good law abiding people but they might have to be inconvenienced to account for the few that aren't. Since there wasn't any loss of life or injuries (thankfully) I think Obama's response was well measured and timely.
I'm also glad he put it out there that we (the US) still plan on hunting these rabid dogs down and exterminating them....
