If a legal immigrant has paid into the system I have no problem with the ruling. I have a problem with illegal and legal immigrants as well as citizens who use the system instead of working for it.

Send the medical bill to the Country of origin. Mexico and many other countries have the oil reserves that would allow them to afford the cost.

I believe they are talking about LEGAL immigrants. And like Joe said, if they pay into the system then I don't have a problem with it. As for Illegals - I don't think they deserve our benefits - they would have to be deported and come back through the Proper channels (not that they seem to exist anymore).

California voters rebelled and overwhelmingly passed Proposition 187, which sought to limit liability for mass illegal immigration. Since then, state and local governments have blatantly ignored the wishes of the voters and continued to pay out publicly financed benefits on illegal families. Prop 187 was brought before Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, who in November 1997 found the law to be unconstitutional. Governor Wilson appealed the ruling, which brought the case to the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. All these destitute, unskilled people will need food, housing and welfare support to exist in our society.
