Board wants DeStefano investigated

New Haven (AP) – A New Haven board has voted to ask state officials to investigate apparent ties between Mayor John DeStefano’s re-election campaign last year and a political action committee.
The Democracy Fund Board, which oversees the city’s public financing program for mayoral elections, alleges the Elm & Oak committee gave illegal contributions to DeStefano’s campaign. It also claims that DeStefano’s campaign failed to report the prohibited contributions.
The board voted Monday to ask the state Elections Enforcement Commission to look into the allegations.
The New Haven Register reports that DeStefano has claimed the PAC only supported city aldermen’s campaigns, but records indicate Elm & Oak paid some rent, phone bills and consultant salaries for DeStefano’s re-election campaign.

Kind of like the "Buy a Vote" program on display in the "Health Care Reform" bill process going on in the Senate.
Like the dirt bag Harry Reid said yesterday " its the way things get done...." on all those worthless "side deals" on the pathetic health care bill...
Thats WHY this corrupt system HAS to be changed.........one way OR another........
It's time to CLEAN HOUSE !!!!
