Does anyone take Joe Biden seriously?? Senator Lieberman is right to oppose the so called "compromise." If this bill passes we will be paying the price for a long time, not just in higher premiums but in rationing of care, doctor shortages, and a skyrocketing deficit. It's exactly what we DON'T need and I support anyone who has enough brains to figure this out.

Biden - it's not a question where 1 + 1 = ?. Healthcare is huge and the simple fact is that it seems that opponents & the Chinese know moe about the health care legislation than the proponents.
On a climate bill, Rosa DeLauro stated how wonderful things will be when it passes, but showed no knowledge on how the bill was going to accomplish any of it.

It is truly amazing to constantly see the negativity posted towards any real change in this country when all one hears is how screwed up things are. Get over it people. This whole charade is nothing more than the extreme right wing of the political spectrum who really took this country on a ride and is now trying to posture itself as being indignant about fixing the mess they have brought upon this country since Ronald "The Saint" Regan got his paws on things. Do not tell me that the insurance industry and the health care industry has not been bleeding us dry for decades! It is time to stop this or the only class we'll be talking about is the underclass because that's where we're heading unless our money (you want to talk about taxes being out of control? take a look at your insurance premiums over the last 10 years)get back into our hands so we can create some wealth for our families for a change!

I sincerely hope Joe stands firm. Biden and the rest of the bunch are wrong, wrong, WRONG to be trying to shove this very bad health care plan down the throats of good American citizens!

Make certain you let Joe Lieberman know you stand behind him by sending him an e-mail through his web site.

Sounds like Lieberman is caving. So much for anyone in CT listening to the voters. We know Washington doesn't listen so what does that say about the administration and all congress and especially Obama.

In the end this bill will never be accepted for passage in both the House and Senate.

The damage done by this will cause the republicans to take over Congress in 2010. This is a re-run of 1993-94 with Hillary-care.

How is it that the health care debate was a great compromise last week. It was all within a party. There is no compromise going on, only dictatorial partisan politics. I am glad Joe is standing firm. We do not need a roll over and just because Biden and DeLauro are saying just give in Joe, there is no reason for him too.

The democrats know if they do not get it to committee before Christmas break it will lanquish as other government business is accomplished. maybe they could piecemeal things like if there are 45 billion a year wasted in Medicare, go after it, don't just report it. We do not need 150,000 more permenant federal employees to handle 11 million uncovered US citizens that are not eligible for current medical insurance.

Lieberman is a flip flop,
Please understand, we only want the same Insurance that you have, if this is difficult for you to understand, this job is not for you, you are better off to quit. If you think the enormous deficit is too big, why not give back all the money that you pocked during the past 10 years while you campaign for Vice, President etc, while not working in the senate as you were elected for. Elisa,
What a joke if you actually think this bill is going to get you what our senators get for health insurance. WAKE UP!!!! They excempted themselves from this insurance bill.

Furthermore, they are proposing to limit mammograms to age 50 when 20% of breast cancer cases occur betwwen 40 - 50 years of age. Next they will go after pap smears and colonoscopys. Our tax rate will be 50% with less covered heathcare. I'm all for affordable healthcare for all but I know the government will screw it up. They have the proven track record for it...Medicaid sucks, Fannie & Freddie mac= failures, Medicare & Social Security are going bankrupt!!!!!
