Is Obama Washington's Vulcan?

Washington (AP) – President Barack Obama’s deliberate approach to decision-making and a fascination with science is raising some eyebrows and drawing the logical question.
Is Barack Obama Washington’s Mr. Spock, the chief science officer for the ship of state?
Actor Leonard Nimoy, who has portrayed “Star Trek’s” Spock for more than 40 years, tells The Associated Press that Obama’s precise, logical approach may be “somewhat unusual for a politician.” And that may be a compliment.
Obama’s Spock-like qualities have drawn critics who say he’s too technocratic, too deliberative and lacking in emotion.
But it’s all good for the geek set who like the idea of a science president.
The president’s science adviser, John Holdren, says Obama “is genuinely and intensely interested in science and technology in a way that goes beyond their practical relevance to meeting national goals.”

As a conservative I will that there are many liberals that I love and agree with on many points, but I do disagree with many of their methods. The main difference between most liberals and conservatives is that the conservative believes in the individual rather than the government.
What we conservatives fear is becoming a European style country. Most of my ancestors came here because America was different and knew that those differences were both a blessing and a curse.
Go to Ellis Island - MANY of the immigrants did NOT stay, they went back!

You are rather inaccurate in that belief, except depending your definition of liberalism. There are those on the left, defined as 'liberal', who distrust the government, its motives and so forth, in the same ways you define conservatism. I am on the left, yet find no more success in government than I do corporate interest.

What american needs in washington are people who don't make a living by freeing child molesters, murderers, rapist, serial killers and setting them back on the streets to repeat the same crimes and all in the name of their rights to a fair hearing when many of them who are set free are free because of illegal search and seizer. And the have used the laws that are suppose to protect the people of the USA and re-ajusted them to down size the to the lowest quality of life bit by bit until finally all the will be left is those that HAVE and the HAVE NOTS will all be destroyed along with their children. I would be very very interested to have anyone at all that has a list of names of the Klu Klux Klan members and or supporters. Perhaps some one may grow a conscience and supply the people a list and we'll be able to clean out Washington. But I don't suppose you'll print this on line will you?
