Pleaded not guilty.........

LOL

"" Sabshin side-swiped a guard rail twice and swerved between the right lane and shoulder before finally pulling over. ""

I am SURE there is a logical explanation why all THAT happened.....lol

they must have done a blood alcohol check on him.....

"" not guilty ""..............

* sigh *

Selectman arn`t above the law.
The Mayor of East Haven was arrested.
She wasn`t exactally on a drunk running the cops hitting guard rails.
She was working on parked cars.
These are the law makers and lovers of the law and when the law trys to make love back they say not guilty!
After a year of 12 step meetings, mabe then he can take the first step.

Betcha the jacktard has been driving under the influence every weekend since Staubach was tossing the pigskin for Dallas... just that he now finally got caught.

I'm sure their is going to be an insincere sincere statement by him blubbering an apology and pleading for support and full of regret about being nabbed.

Bah... sentences for elected public officials should be tougher than for rank and file citizens if you ask me. They are supposed to be role models and upstanding members of the community and since they willingly take on that job, the risks for illegal behavior should be higher.

I don't know of him but I'll wager that he is a Democratic or Channel 8 would have named his party affiliation.

If it is a Democrat that is 3 for 3. First Rep Bartlett, then 2008 State Sen Candidate Michael Renzullo, a Selectman from Winsted. Yes Mr Sabshin is a Democrat I checked the State Register and Manual. The Democrats in CT love to break the rules or get drunk.

IO......Channel 8 loves protecting those Democrats. If it were a Republican they would be posting their affiliation and shouting from the rooftops with glee.

Not for nothing...but political affiliation has nothing to do with this.....

I have see mostly when reporting, they DO leave out party affiliation irregardless of which party the person is from...

It would seem to me, in all fairness, its the PERSON who is arrested for whatever the infraction is NOT what friggin party the party belongs to....

Each "party" has their own fair share drunks, drug abusers and degenerates...... LOL

Kudos to the cop that arrested him. I am sure that he has been caught before, but was let off with either a warning or some other treatment that normal tax paying citizens would not receive.

Very sad. If this is actually the Woodbridge selectman, "Mr." James Sabshin is actually Dr. James Sabshin, a neurosurgeon, and a former president of the Medical Staff at the Hospital of St. Raphael.

From what I have read, the Republicans always have -R after their names while Democrats don't always have party affiliation after their names when they do wrong. It is a small thing, but does demonstrate media bias when 90% of the reporters are Democrats and are reluctant to report on erring Democrats.

Can you show facts to back up this?

Whether selectman or neurosurgeon or what have you...he is a man who made a serious mistake. He should not be judged especially for or by his political affiliation, that has nothing to do with this. This is a terrible tragedy not only for himself but for his family. Thank God no one was hurt. Whatever the case may be, I hope he gets the help needed.

The truth hurts doesn't it Libs. 3 of your own: Jason Bartlett, Michael Renzullo and James Sabshin all broke the law. Two being idiots talking on cell phones while driving and the 3rd driving while drunk. These are not the kind of people we need in State or Local Government. I think anyone who talks on a cell phone and is not on a hands free device should lose their driver license forever let the rulebreakers walk to work instead of driving distracted.

regardless of what happened... this man has saved hundreds if not thousands of lives... mine being one of them. Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed w/ a very rare brain tumor and when noone else would do my surgery, or would but gave me a grim prognosis 3 short months before my wedding day this man stepped in and saved my life and allowed me to become a mother to 4 beautiful children, on a seperate note, he did it all for FREE after my health ins. carrier denied the whole procedure siting a "pre-existing"condition clause..... until you walk in some one shoes you should not judge them or how they live......
