Green Party eyes Nader in Senate race

Hartford (AP) – Connecticut’s Green Party is hoping to persuade its famous native son, Ralph Nader, to jump into the hot U.S. Senate race.
Tim McKee, a party spokesman, says Sen. Chris Dodd’s vulnerability in the polls gives the Greens a great opportunity to win a Senate seat.
The Green Party plans to hold a rally on Friday afternoon at the West Hartford Library, where Nader is scheduled to speak at a book-signing.
Nader, a past presidential candidate, has not yet said whether he’d consider a run for Senate. The 75-year-old activist splits his time between Winsted and Washington, D.C.
Dodd, a Democrat, has been struggling politically. A recent Quinnipiac University Poll showed 54 percent of voters disapprove of his job performance.

Governor of Connecticut.

Thus such is why we need a run off system as to insure that each candidate taking office is a majority candidate, not a "split all my enemies" largest minority candidate.
While I intend to vote for Linda, I would consider voting for Ralph IF he and Dodd were in a run off election.
