Foley considers run for gov.

(WTNH) – A Connecticut businessman who is running for the U.S. Senate now says he is considering a run for governor instead.

Tom Foley is trying to unseat incumbent Sen. Chris Dodd, but with Gov. Jodi Rell announcing that she will not seek another term, he is reconsidering his options.

“I have had a number of conversations with people who are encouraging me to consider running for Governor because they believe I could better serve Connecticut today as Governor than as a Senator,” Foley said in a written statement.

Foley plans to make a decision as early as next week.

Foley would make a better Governor than that "Wingnut" Ned Lamont. I bet DSCC is really getting scared that they may get shut out in 2010. With Nasty DiNardo at the helm of the CT DEMS what do you expect !!!

Leave the senate seat open for Linda to take from Dodd. Lets get fresh blood in the governor's seat on 2010 rather tnan some recycled Democrat.
