Middletown (WTNH) – Middletown Mayor Sebastian Giuliano, the Republican incumbent, held on to win his third term.
Giuliano’s challenger, Dan Drew, conceded the race about an hour after the polls closed.
Democrats still hold the majority in City Council and the Republican mayor called for unity in the months ahead.
“Once this night is over you check party affiliation. Whoever gets elected is now the servant of the public. That is who you owe,” Giuliano said to his supporters.
