Since college has been brought up, I wonder when Obama is going to regulate the colleges to control their tuition costs like he is attempting to do for health care and banking.

Quite frankly IO, tuition is out of control at most schools. It's a sad day when our society requires students to go into massive debt before the age of 21 to pay for an education they are, in most cases, required to have if they want to attain a satisfactory standard of living.

There is no reason a student should leave college owing tens of thousands of dollars.

If you don't have children in college or if you haven't attended yourself, I am sure you don't know about this problem.

Under Bush the wealthy ran this country with an eye to doing whatever they could to benefit their corporate cronies. AIG comes to mind here, along with many other financial firms. You also somehow seem to forget that Haliburton, a firm run by the then Vice President received numerous no-bid contracts from the government for the rebuilding effort in Iraq. What about the tax breaks for the rich along with the steep increase in the concentration of wealth within the top 5% of wage earners while the number of poor increased drastically during the same period? This increase in concentration of wealth was similar to that in the 1920's.

Trickle Down Economics is what hurt those in the "ghetto", and as a result, you saw a backlash against corporate greed and the ignorance of the republican party when it comes to the plight of the middle class and poor.
