Protestors, supporters gather to see Obama

STAMFORD, CT (AP) – Protesters and supporters are beginning to arrive in Stamford, where President Barack Obama is speaking at a fundraiser for Sen. Christopher Dodd’s re-election.
A few dozen people were lining streets near the Hilton hotel hours before Obama and Dodd were expected to arrive for Friday’s $1,000-a-plate fundraiser, which is expected to raise about $1 million.
Among them was Paula Daniel of Stamford, who has been out of work since April and recently paid doctors $600 to treat her sprained ankle. She says she supports Obama’s plan for nationwide health insurance.
But critics include Woodbury’s Art McNally, who was carrying a “Dump Dodd” sign and says he’s worried about the debt that Obama’s administration is mounting.

I SAY DUMP DODD & OBAMA !!!!
The only thing these two are good for is putting their mugs in any camera lense they can find.

Yet they refused to cover the environmentalists protesting his speech on energy.
Hey "school-boy"...when do YOU ever work? Probably less than he does....and yeah, I'm a millionaire too, so stuff it....you're just a loud-talking fag behind a keyboard....
No better or worse, than any other tag-line concocted by either of the two useless parties we are stuck with.

"Asleep The The Wheel: George W. Bush Spent More Than A Third of His Two Terms On Vacation"
So, whats your excuse for Bush. Is it ok that he spent 1/3 of his time hiding in his tree house reading his comic books? Or is it that you are a psychotic conservative?
You sir are the poster child of this group.
I might not agree with everything my fellow democrats and moderates and socialists say here however, I wold never lower myself to your level of discourse.
Sound similar to a phrase people used to get vilified for.
Citations please.
What's the matter? Angry that I showed how much less Duba worked? Or, are you upset that I proved you wrong again.
Aw... Mr. Angry is upset that he never had an opportunity to go to college.
I do feel sorry for you.
There is no reason a student should leave college owing tens of thousands of dollars.
If you don't have children in college or if you haven't attended yourself, I am sure you don't know about this problem.
Please find a list of the President's accomplishments during the first 100 days of his term below...

I can go into Health Care, his attempt to engage the Muslim world, etc. if you like. It's all available on the web from sites such as CSPAN, MSNBC, and other news outlets. However, and ironically enough, FoxNews covered hardly any of this because they were to busy attempting to smear him and label him as a socialist, racist, communist, etc.
Care to back up your claim now??
Sue, again that is your opinion. do you have any facts? Define weak and pushover.
"Obama is narcissistic it’s all about him not the country, he is for the left and that’s it DAM with the rest of the country. This will make him a weak president."
Tim,
How can you claim that other presidents weren narcissistic? GWB comes to mid, anlong with Cheny as two very narcissistic people. Also, W catered to the extreme right, and openly admited that neither he or his administration cared about polls are the peoples opinions...
"On the fifth anniversary of the Iraq invasion, ABC’s Good Morning America aired an interview with Vice President Cheney on the war...
"RADDATZ: Two-third of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.
CHENEY: So?
RADDATZ So? You don’t care what the American people think?
CHENEY: No. I think you cannot be blown off course by the fluctuations in the public opinion polls."
Furthermore, Bush catered to the extreme right with his anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, pro-religion, pro-christian ideologies which he attempted to write into law.
What you are seeing now is a reacion to the ultra conservative policies of the Bush adminstration. This is no different than the Bush administrations reaction to the policies of the liberal Clinton Administration...
Under Bush the wealthy ran this country with an eye to doing whatever they could to benefit their corporate cronies. AIG comes to mind here, along with many other financial firms. You also somehow seem to forget that Haliburton, a firm run by the then Vice President received numerous no-bid contracts from the government for the rebuilding effort in Iraq. What about the tax breaks for the rich along with the steep increase in the concentration of wealth within the top 5% of wage earners while the number of poor increased drastically during the same period? This increase in concentration of wealth was similar to that in the 1920's.
Trickle Down Economics is what hurt those in the "ghetto", and as a result, you saw a backlash against corporate greed and the ignorance of the republican party when it comes to the plight of the middle class and poor.
You conservatives never fail to amuse. First Obama is a "wealthy snob" wile at the same time a "socialist". Two conflicting ideologies.
Education is in the top priority list of US President Obama. To make education affordable, Obama is thinking about freeing up more cash for assistance through public funded loan providers and American Opportunity Tax Credit.
