Hartford (WTNH) – A painful moment of the personal kind for Connecticut Gov. Jodi Rell Monday as she took a tumble at the end of a news conference at the state Armory.
According to WTNH Chief Political Correspondent Mark Davis, the governor caught her heel on a microphone wire that had been set up as a pool audio feed by the Governor’s press office and the Office of Emergency Management.
Gov. Rell joked about pulling “a Mark Davis” as she was helped to her feet.
Her comment was in reference to a live report Davis did several years ago when he slipped and fell while trying to board a Coast Guard vessel in New Haven.

“I urged her to put ice on her knee and wrist,” Davis said.
The governor said she was okay. A spokesman for the governor’s office says ice packs were ordered.
