If you employed someone who was a LYING,SLEAZY,INFLUENCE PEDDLING, ASS-COVERING, CORRUPT pile of garbage, you would fire that person.

Well Chris Dodd IS a LYING,SLEAZY,INFLUENCE PEDDLING, ASS-COVERING, CORRUPT pile of garbage and WE employ him.

LETS FIRE HIM!!!

Call his office and tell the snippy, snot-nosed intern who answers that her/his boss is FIRED in Nov 2010!

They forgot my name!! I made a donation to his campaign. It was only $14.00. But, still why was New Canaan not listed?

I Love Mr. Dodd and think he is awsome!!

Gleb

[Editor's Note: Glen, there is also a classification for 'Unitemized Individual Contributions' which do not list towns and names. Your donation may fall under that category.]

Do nothing Dodd has all his pals at Countrywide and AIG he could care less where the dirty money comes from as long as it keeps coming into his pocket.

Glen,

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion but Dodd has shown himself to be corrupt in everyway possible! Being head of the banking commitee, he bears a lot of responsibility for the collapse of the banks. He has a few houses that were purchased from people he did political favors for and he got mortgage rates that, at the time, were considerably lower than the norm. He hasn't done squat for CT and we need to send him packing. Please, CT voters - do the right thing here.

Lisa.... Dodd needs to go but since he has to be a greedy liberal porky pig and not step away on his own. In 2010 The people of Connecticut will punch his card and his pink slip. Then in 2012 its Barack and Michelle's turn to get the ticket back to Chicago But by then The USA will be broke, bankrupt and destitute. Blame all the Lemmings that follow Obama like a pig with a ring in its nose.

Dodd is corrupt and has caused our country major damage !

Wake-up fool......

Oh yea, we also can't forget that Dodd was the clown who put in the provision (TARP agreement), that AIG executives could get their millions in bonuses on the backs of us taxpayers. Who was he looking out for there, his campaign contributers or CT residents?

Lisa. At least you were nice. I can see where many of You might not see eye to eye with me. I respect that. When I read some of the news clips about Mr Dodd I have to admitt I scratch my head and start to doubt. But, do we really think He is deliberately trying to cheat? Maybe we do not have all the facts either.

Maybe Mr. Dodd has made mistakes
and maybe not. But, I do not think he meant to do any harm. He was just mis-infomred.

Let us give Chris the benefit of the doubt. I still with all
due respect to You guys think He is a terrifc guy and I wish I could be like him and meet him to shake hands with him and sit and talk over a cup of tea or something and get his side of the story.

I also know that I intend to vote for him next time his election is up for vote. If I have a few dollars I may even give it to his campaign

The only thing I am disappointed
in is that the above story does not show that a New Canaan person contributed $14.00 to his campaign. It was all I had
at the time I got the email to help out.

Glen

The next election will be a referendum on the intelligence of this state. Should Dodd be re-elected it will prove just how stupid this state has become.

Christopher Dodd represents the state of Lobby. Lobbyists are his constituency. They send him all his money and he does their bidding.

He lost the little remaining bit of his credibility when he moved his family to Iowa. Let him move there now.

You have to be a complete idiot to think Dodd cares about this state.

Dodd is not misinformed, Glen.

He is incompetent.

It is his job- his obligation- to stay informed. He's been on cruise control for 25 years.

It's nice that you like him. Next time you have that tea ask him why he falsified his financial statements. Ask him why he lied about the AIG bonuses. Ask him why he was asking for more bank degregulation in August of 2007 when it was HIS JOB to watch the store.

Ask him why he voted for a stimulus bill without reading it.

In 2010 if it has a 'D' next to the name on the ballot, rest assured I will not be putting an 'X' next to it. Obamba, Reed, Pelosi, Frank, Murtha, Dodd, have all made quite sure of that.

Well these statistics (5 from CT out of 465) are sure telling. I think Dodd is done. Even if he tries to get out and reconnect with the people of CT (which if you notice, we haven't seen him do at any open or public gatherings by the way...) he has to answer for his various mistakes and mideeds. He has alot to answer for and all of his commercials, appearances during legislation signings, etc, don't yield answers. I'm an independent and I would sooner vote for Stalin that Dodd.

Joe Six Pack... I agree with you 110% Anyone with a (D) is not getting my vote. There are a lot of lifetime legislators like Lawlor, Fontana, McDonald that are so incompetent and stupid that they should be given their pink slip. Anyone who has a (D) by their name should be voted out in 2010. I am sure the usual a-clowns who can't make up their mind who post here whether they are a liberal or conservative will be pissed off. Whatever is my response to them.

Dodd will get elected again hands down. That's how stupid the people are here in Liberal Fantasy Land. Just look at Massachusetts, how can anyone keep voting that fat pig Kennedy back in year after year. That monster should have been in jail years ago. New England as a whole is Liberal, and liberalism is a disease of the brain called no common sense.

Gary from Seymour... You nailed it. As long as Connecticut continues to support scum like Dodd, Michael Lawlor, Andrew McDonald, Steve Fontana or anyone with the (D) label by their name. They are all career politicians who have tenure and money and connections. Things will never change Because there are too many brain dead lemmings who are just totally retarded and do whatever Connecticut Citizen Action Group, My Left Nutmeg, The Connecticut Democratic Party, Democracy For America and all the other liberal fruitloop candya** groups tell them to do.

Jeff, thanks for owning up to your error; I said as much over on MLN, and I'm currently writing an article about the issue on my blog.

While there are still a couple of things I'm not crazy about with your story as corrected, I'm very impressed by the way to took ownership of your mistake and faced a rather upset blogosphere (and yes, we CAN get a bit testy at times!) and you made a stand up apology.

Kudos to you, sir!
