With Betty Cracker's policies this may be easy to accomplish
1. Most "dirty" industry has left the state, so who is going to notice if a few more factories leave?
2. Many of our young people are leaving the state and going elsewhere for jobs, so less people means less pollution.
3. Since CT is one of the better welfare states, with direct deposit, people will hardly ever need to leave their homes!

Stop chasing rainbows and start solving real problems!

They voted 35 to 0. That is a scary thought. What a bunch of dimwits. You can't know that global warming is manmade without knowing how much is natural. And I'd be willing to bet not one of them has given that a thought. I didn't know we had a bunch of climate experts in the senate.

And they all laughed when I said that we needed a Constitutional “Climate Protection Amendment” to prohibit the government from taking any action to regulate the climate, thus protecting us from these half-baked, insane, onerous and liberty-curtailing legislative acts that will only make us poorer and increase the government’s control over virtually every aspect of our lives.

Just another money grab. I'm sure the cap on the cost of emissions inspections won't go back to pre 1990 levels. Global warming/climate change is a scam. The more researchers and acadamia cry about it, the more money they get for bogus research projects. So why all of the libs can take pride in using ethonal to fill their Prius, most of the world can't afford food.

It won't mean a thing. Only when times are good can you wast efforts on non-sense. Hard times will requre us to burn anything we can or freeze. We will be able to thank the no nuke, no drill and no coal crowd for this as we burn our furniture.

I feel another tax coming. I would think they would be more concerned as to where did our surplus go. Global warming is happening, but I think it's somewhat out of our control. I'm sure what CT is going to do to stop global warming will have little or no effect at all on the Earth.

The new bill would require total emissions to be capped at 10 percent below 1990 levels by 2020.

Being a law, and that there is usually penalties for failure to abide by the law, what are the penalties if Ct. does not meet this requirement and who pays them? And to whom?

The Liberals love their Kool Aid and Their Legislator friends need to do something about the real life stuff: high gas prices, high food prices etc and they need to stop listening to Al Gore and Al Franken and believing every word of these two prophets of Liberal BS.

Here we go...global warming my you know what! This is made up by the same man who claims to have invented the internet.

Come on you dopey libs-wise up will you? Stop with the phony baloney nonsense of trying to do your parts and really take a look at the WHOLE LARGE Picture instead of the tiny little selfish piece you all look at but claim to be doing it for the better of all.

Of course this is more taxes, we are already being scammed by the emission program in this state-just you wait and see.

Hey Dems/Libs...put your money where your big mouths are...why not send in EXTRA Money to the IRS to cover the taxes for all the programs you want.

Vote Republican-get this no nothings out of there before they can do more damage.

I just read where we are in a 10 year normal global cooling cycle. If that is the case why can't there be a normal 10 year warming cycle.
Seems like science and the politicians are not in sync.

First, it was California with the green emission laws. Now Connecticut. Stupid is as stupid does! A bunch of politicians and Hollywood Egos, decided that Global warming was real and immenient, and something had to be done about it. Of course no one even bothered to speculate that the last 150 years of recorded weather data is a mere blink of an eye to the weather history of this planet. Now we are finding out that it takes more energy & money to produce 1 gallon of bio-fuel than to produce a gallon of gas. AND that the loss of the crops to Bio-fuels is creating a food shortage in many areas of the world. Good job Al Gore!! Good Job liberals in Hartford. Holy Crap- I can't wait until I retire out of Connecticut!

Great how much is it going to cost me to buy a whole bunch of echo freindly cars for the worthless state politicains to drive around in? Tell you what why doesn't the senate and the rest of the cronies in the capitol take some of that hard earned money they got from my walet and plant some trees? that will offset the carbon foot print then if they keep their mouths shut for two hours a day we could actually lower the temperature around the state and thus increase my oil bill for heat yet another year. I am all for global warming everybody take the muffler off your car and let's get the temperature up thereby lowering our heating bills. a one degree temperature increase in the next 20 years is probably not going to kill use all chicken littles when albore gets a degree in climatology, stops riding in SUVS and taking private planes and ends mining on his property I will think about it. if you actually knew anything. I would read state of fear by Michael Crichton it is a wonderful book about temperature change using actual facts not a special effects styrofoam glacier use in movies. Idiots!
